    HUZZAH! The Game

Monday, June 16, 2008, 11:19 PM CST [General]

     Patron: Huzzah?

Huzzah Guy: Have you heard of Huzzah?

Huzzah is the latest in renaissance era games?

How can there be a latest in renaissance era games you ask?

Thank you so much for asking.

Huzzah is the premier people watching game for renaissance faires.

     ‘Tis a scavenger hunt.

To begin the game you place 24 of the 28 tiles on your board in rows and columns around the center Faire and Fowl square that is there to remind you from whence you purchased your fine game.

As you play the game you turn over tiles for the things that you find.  For instance earlier we found a ........ and therefore we turned the tile over.

When you get five Faire and Fowls in a row, column or diagonal you have won the game and shout HUZZAH!

A single board and 28 tiles sells for a mere 8 dollars.  Or you can get 2 boards and 56 different tiles for 15 dollars.

The original Huzzah game set included 128 different tiles.  96 original words 16 piratey words and 16 feasty words.

Huzzah! is available exclusively from Faire & Fowl.  Remember it is copyrighted and patent pending.

If you want to play on the big board or hear the patter live you can visit one of the faire that we attend.

You can hear the patter on youtube.

    Siouxland Ren Faire Day 2

Wednesday, June 11, 2008, 10:42 PM CST [General]

Second Day as Nice as the First

The second day of the faire was as nice as the first.  Will and Lee really enjoyed playing the naval battle game and played 3 more times that day.  I was worried that they were starting to get annoying but the guys who were running the game said they were fine and actually helped with some of the other kids.

Kathy and I got to go see one of The Lost Boys shows.  We also went and saw Tastes Like Burning.  Both shows were really good.  Sue and her family also saw Tastes Like Burning and the Joust.

Below are some pictures from Day 2.
